No stranger to saying the words ‘You’re fired!’, Donald Trump fired FBI Director James Comey. In today’s press conference White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer confirmed that Donald Trump called James Comey and informed him that he was being fired from his duties as the director of the FBI.

The White House reports Trump fired Comey based on the recommendations of both Deputy Attorney General Rod Resenstein and Attorney General Jeff Sessions.  Per individuals associated with the Trump Administration, Comey was fired because he misrepresented the number of emails included in investigation of Hillary Clinton. Comey allegedly claimed Clinton had far more egregious emails on her private servers that was true, which would have benefited Trump.

Many other individuals have expressed on news and social media, however, that Comey intensified investigation into Trump’s connection to Russia and Russia’s blatant interference with the recent United States presidential election.
